Introduction of Taiping Houkui Green Tea

Taiping Houkui Green Tea is a traditional Chinese famous tea and one of the famous Chinese historical teas. It belongs to the top green tea category. It is produced in Xinming, Longmen and Sankou areas of Huangshan District (formerly Taiping County) on the northern foot of Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It is the best of the top teas and has long enjoyed a great reputation.

The appearance of the leaves wrapped around the top buds is like "two knives clamping a gun" and "two leaves hugging a bud". The buds hide the tip and the top is cut, forming two pointed ends. It is known as "Houkui is pointed at both ends, not scattered, not warped, and not curled".

The strips are straight and strong, green and shiny, with fuzzy hairs. The first brew is fragrant, the second brew is strong, and the taste is not reduced after three or four brews, and the orchid fragrance remains.
